Kim Riley-Quinn is a licensed Social Worker in the State of Iowa. She received her Bachelors degree from Iowa State University and her Masters Degree from the University of Iowa. Kim has over 20 years of experience through her work as a School Social Worker for the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency and has extensive knowledge in school-related issues impacting children and adolescents, both in the academic and social/emotional areas. Kim also has over 20 years of experience working as a private therapist in the Quad Cities, serving adults as well as youth who are dealing with a wide variety of issues, with special attention given to overcoming symptoms of anxiety and depression. Kim has been devoted to serving the community and as the co-founder of a non-profit organization, she created the Pete the Purple Bull Program which focuses on teaching positive social/emotional skills through engaging school programming. She is the author of the children’s book, Pete’s Grand Plan, that is being read in schools throughout Iowa and beyond, to address the issue of Bullying and to provide strategies that protect children from harm. Kim recently made the decision to retire from her school-based job so she can give more time to her private practice and non-profit work.
