Nicole earned her Master of Science in Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2017 from Western Illinois University. She has experience working with individuals in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Prior to becoming a therapist, Nicole worked in a variety of social work settings. She served in several non-profit organizations, including working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and providing case management services for at-risk children and adults.
Nicole has experience in working with children, adults, and couples who struggle with a variety of mental health backgrounds including:
ADHD
Anxiety
Depression
Anger management
LGBTQ+ struggles
PTSD
Nicole has worked closely with individuals who struggle with suicidal ideation.
Nicole utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including: Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. Her goal for therapy is to help individuals become more self-aware, self-loving, and to develop the skills to become their own version of their best self.
In Nicole's free time she enjoys music, running, hiking, and the outdoors/nature in general. In addition she is a huge animal lover!
