Dan Jens, LISW
Dan is a Licensed Independent Social Worker. He has a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Iowa. He has worked as a school social worker for 31 years, primarily with adolescents and their families. Dan has worked as a private therapist for 4 years. He is a trained mediator, a certified Trauma and Grief Specialist, and a Nationally Certified Olweus Bully Prevention Trainer. Dan is also a member of the Board of Directors of Quad Citians Affirming Diversity and a charter member of the Quad City chapter of Parents and Friends of Gays and Lesbians (PFLAG), as well as other community organizations concerned with human rights.
Types of Services Offered
Services include the general practice of psychotherapy of individuals (adults and children ages 8 and up) and couples. Issues treated are: depression, anxiety, parenting, trauma, and loss, complicated grief, post traumatic stress, bipolar, anger, stress, child behavior and learning disorders, marital and GLBT.
