Mikaela Schultz, LISW, LCSW
Mikaela Schultz is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the state of Iowa and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Illinois. She obtained a Master’s degree in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis after receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from The University of Iowa. Prior to joining the Family Counseling and Psychology team, Mikaela spent most of her professional career over the past 10 years working in the mental health and substance use fields with children, adolescents, adults and families. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and with a wide variety of presenting problems.
Mikaela is qualified to work with any individuals/couples/families seeking positive change related to issues stemming from depression, anxiety, behavior concerns, grief and loss, anger management, family discord, relationship concerns, stress management, LGBTQ, and substance use. She has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, and strives to gain more knowledge each day. Mikaela has passion for working with all individuals in problem solving, goal setting, and creating a strong foundation for positive outcomes.
In her free time, Mikaela enjoys all things outdoors including hiking, canoeing, gardening, and cross country skiing. She spends most of her time with her family making memories and having fun.
